... at blogging, at finishing challenges, and at putting in hands. The good thing is I do not suck at poker lol. When I started my challenge of playing 5k hands over the weekend, I should have known better. For sure I went climbing twice and besides that got drunk every single night.
I started off playing on Thursday when I found 9 really nice looking tables. As soon as I sit down sure all the fish leave (I am scary I know) and my games start to break. In general I like to start my session with ~9 tables and then drop down until there are only 3-4 playable tables are left. This time I reached that point after 250 hands and sure I knew I was up a bit. Would def be better to not check results already, but w/e I went ahead and found out that I somehow managed to donk a win of almost 3 BIs in the few hands. This made me way too happy to risk losing that again so I was already done after 250 hands on my first day lol.
Evening was nice, next day I went climbing, met up with friends and sure was not able to put any hands in cause we started drinking at 8pm already. At that point it was already pretty clear to me that I would not be able to play the 5k in the remaining time but still planned on putting in a decent session on next day. Saturday I woke up surprisingly freshened and decided to start playing after having lunch. In the first 30 minutes I was already stuck ~4 BIs but was still feeling fresh so stayed in the games. I also tried 12 tabling that time cause I experimented with a nittier, more posotional game and really felt like grinding a ton of hands. Finished my session after 1.5k hands and was sooooo happy to find out that I managed to get unstuck and was up maybe $80. After taking a break, playing a bit forza on my xbox and taking some coffee I fired tables up again (mainly cause I needed 12 party points more for weekly goal, damn you party's new reward program) and over the period of 500 hands I got paid off really nice and finished the day finally up 3BIs.
I only put in 2.8k hands instead of the planned 5k, but I def played very good, I managed to get my W$WSF up to 42% over that sample size, given that I 12 tabled mainly I think this is really decent. I experimented with my image a lot and it worked great and sure I improved a lot again. So although I did not succeed in my challenge 100%, I still wanted to reward myself for the good play: I withdrew $400 and preordered Rock Band :) Amazon says it should be here around the 20th and I am very excited for that. I can just advice everybody to withdraw a bit of money from time to time and rewarding yourself by purchasing something special, I already payed for my 37" LCD and I still feel so happy everytime I look at it, def +happynessEV.
To stay motivated I decided to focus on my W$WSF for the next 10k hands. I def have to get into more grinding and meanwhile improve my game a lot. After finishing that I will do an intense review of all my hands at 100nl so far and maybe get some good guys sweating me a bit to improve my game. Withdrawing a bit money makes me stay longer at 100nl and I really appreciate that, cause I want my game to be very decent before taking my first shot at 200nl somewhere around summer hopefully.
Now I have to hurry to get into my bed cause after climbing yesterday and today, and also having 3 hours of golf lessons today I have a hard time sitting at my chair lol. Hope everything is well with you guys!

Thomas
