Today I will be drinking third day in a row. Were on a really cool private party yesterday and today is a big party at my college. So most of the daytime I am currently fighting my hangover and thus only little time/energy for playing poker. Running good helps though, so I only got in 400 hands today but took 1.5BIs home. That's it for today cause I have to take a shower and start drinking soon lol. Hope everybody else has a good time.

It feels good to get lucky!

What do you think when you get it in on the flop with TP against someones overpair just to suck out on him? I honestly just think: "haha!", and imo you have to take it like that. I don't see why I should feel sorry about a nice win just because I get a bit lucky, it's part of the game.

Anyways I got 1.3k hands in today and had my best win at 100nl so far: 3.5BIs. My game is changing a bit lately, because I figured out how to take a nice profit off all the weak regulars. So right now I am happy about being lucky, and it really feels good :)

On a side note I am considering moving my blog over to CR for quite a while now. I could def see a few of the micro/low stakes players there reading my blog, so maybe I could catch a few comments by that. Have not yet decided if I should give up this blog here, post same entries in both, or transform this one here into a german blog for the few rl m8s interested in my poker progress.

I'm a grinder

Grinded 1.5k hands today and managed to win like $70. I played good again, made a few really good plays vs regulars imo. Somehow couldn't find the goods, so I am def happy that I still managed to finish in the green.

I just decided to buy a subscription to deucescracked.com and am just checking out there "Turning the corner" series which looks def decently helpful. They offer a 7-day free-trial so I'll have to decide wheter or not it's worth the $30 per month after this week.

Tomorrow will be my day off from poker. Mainly forced, cause as I said I have school, golf and climbing lessons, but a short break should also help me stay focused and motivated. If I dont fall asleep as soon as I get home tomorrow I may will write a bit of a bigger entry and talk about a few hands that I played good/bad so far at 100nl.

Done for the day

Played a bit more and couldn't get anything going. Lost a bit more and finished the day 2 BI's down. Got 1.2k hands in today and I am very happy about that. You know you cant win everyday, will be back at the tables tomorrow or Monday. Now I am excited for watching raptor's latest video.

In the green!

I just finished a session of ~400 hands at 100nl and picked up close to 2 BI's. This brings me up at 100nl lifetime so far WOHOOO :D

I only played 4-6 tables and tried to really focus as I said yesterday and it worked great. I played very good poker today and made very, very few mistakes imo. Now I am gonna take lunch and then head outside, maybe hit the driving range, cause weather is nice again today. Hope everyone is well!

Sweeeeet

I know I said I wont play today, but after studying a lot and watching ept final table quite a time I felt like playing a bit poker. Talked with party reg and cr member lambo today about the games. This and chatting with my buddy Dan, who just came home from London as a truly new person, made me feel quite good about my game and myself right now in general.

I put in a sweeet session of only 330 hands, but won 2.5BI's fairly easy. I realized that I somewhat forgot that money is won from fishes not from regs, so why not just go ahead and do that? I am quite comfortable that I will beat the games with my current game if I just manage to stay focused and motivated.

Meh just forget I wanted to post my graph at 100nl for my first few hands. Image shows how swongy I play, and I am 99% sure that this is not needed to beat the games.

Ugh

I just finished my session for today and I lost close to another 2 BIs. The good thing is that I really start to feel comfortable in the games, I am just still spewing huge. I made a few big mistakes again, ran one horrendously bad bluff vs a weak station and I got it in pre flop with tens and jacks both times vs AA. I also paid a guy off who flopped quads against my aces, where he c/c flop and turn and potsize shoved river, would have saved me another 70BB to lay that down when I am completely beat.

Anyways, I think I am gonna take a day off tomorrow, maybe play a bit 50 or 25nl. My buddy Dan is coming home tomorrow and hopefully he is really healthy again, once more my best wishes. So I will use today and tomorrow to study for my next exams and will be back at the tables on friday hopefully getting someone to sweat me while playing.

Small loss

Played ~900 hands of 100nl today and lost 1/2 BI. I sucked out nicely with tp+2 backdoor draws vs overpair. Strangely I feel like I am running extremely bad, although pokerev has me running ultra hot as far as equity goes. I am definitely not playing good enough to beat 100nl by now, but I am starting to figure out what adjustments my game needs.

I know understand what us guys mean when they talk of "euro lagtards". Party's 100nl games are full of overaggro players, nobody is ever laying down a hand. So far it really looks like you only need very, very solid poker to beat these games hard. I am working hard on that, esp trying to stop spewing (calling down light, not bluffing too much like I did when I started with 50nl) and it also still needs a bit of time to get used to the money. Hopefully I can book my first win here soon.

Quick update

Only got to play 1k hands at 100nl so far, down one BI. Given my std move-up-start-to-call-down-ultra-light mistakes I am very happy with that, got unlucky a lot vs shorties but sucked out with KK over AA AIPF so I cant complain.

Today was just extremely hard. Had school in morning, got my first Golf lesson this afternoon which took 3 hours, then went directly to my climbing lesson and just finished the day off with preparing stuff for college. So right now I am way too tired to play anymore, gonna watch maybe one CR video. Besides that I try to chill out and relax watching a bit TV with gf, meanwhile datamining 100nl 24/7 and prepare for taking my first win home at new limit tomorrow.

Also I would like to send out my best of wishes to my buddy Dan (iheartcoco) who is right now in London and hopefully will come back a lot healthier.

Reached 3k!

Last 2 days have been good for me and I just got my bankroll up to 3k! So I am rolled for 100nl as far as my standards go. Gonna take a quick break now and then take my first shot at 100nl :D

Lazy

Went climbing today second day in a row so I was totally crushed after that. Played only a few hundred hands and picked up 1.5BI. Only need 2 Buy ins more at 50nl until my first shot at 100nl (maybe shouldnt talk about that because now I will go on a huge downswing for sure). Just got home from drinking so I better should got to bed now, update to follow tomorrow.

Hard day

Had a very rough day at the tables. Put in 2k+ hands only to be finally down 1/2 BI meh. But should not complain, because I was down as most as 4-5 BIs already and recovered. Overall I think I ran a bit bad but I also made a few bad/tilty plays. Games were ridiculous soft so it sucks that I was not able to extract a bit money.
Gonna try put in a few sessions tomorrow again and hope for better results.

Decent start

Today I tried to put in as many hands as possible. PartyPoker was again very crappy so I got interrupted a few times, but still managed to get in like 1250 hands.

I played 21/18, table selected really well, and managed to book a nice win of 2.5BIs. I def run pretty good still, but following hands should show that I also have the obv losers:
Bleh he gets lucky with AA, I have to shove river all day long
Sat on that table with $150 and my image was way too loose to lay that down
Not too sure about my line here, but I dont hate it
These were only pots lost >100BB, so it really seems I play well. Plan on putting in another 1k hands at least tomorrow.

March results, April goals ...

March has been best poker month so far for me. Here are results and graph:

I also lost ~$100 at HU but won that back with doking around at PLO25. I am close to my first shot at 100nl and I feel really good about that.

April goals:

• Keep the nice winrate at 50nl by playing solid TAG poker
  
• Taking shots/Moving up to 100nl
• Play way more hands (goal is 30k minimum!)
• Focus more on small pots, being more observant in general
